Genevieve Stalla, N.D.

Bachelor of Science, Pyschology (University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign)

Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine (Bastyr University, Seattle WA)

Board Certification:  North American Board of Naturopathic Examiners (NABNE)

After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2004, Dr. Stalla went on to work 5 years as a Psychiatric Rehabilitative Services Coordinator in Chicago, IL for adults with chronic mental illnesses. There she recognized the importance of diet, lifestyle, and the integration of both physical and mental health in order to establish wellness. With a strong desire to serve others in this way, it was while visiting Bastyr University in Seattle, WA that she discovered naturopathic medicine and knew this was where she must continue her education.

Named as one of the best medical schools in the country by Princeton Review and the only university included of seven accredited naturopathic medical institutions, Bastyr University is a non-profit accredited private university recognized globally for its rigorous curriculum, comprehensive clinical training, and strong groundbreaking research. Dr. Stalla has personally accrued over 1,100 hours of clinical shift rotations and preceptorship hours working alongside doctors in the northwest community. She has been instrumental in helping nearly 600 patients achieve better health during her time in Seattle-based clinics.

Dr. Stalla went beyond her 5-year medical training at Bastyr University. She traveled to New York City and Vancouver, Canada to study under world-renowend German biological medicine specialist Thomas Rau, M.D. She learned traditional, time-honored naturopathic methods based on the works of Dr. Otis G. Carroll whose clinic was a "Mecca" of healing that drew people from all over the world. Additionally, she is trained in Psychosomatic Energetic Therapy and Contact Reflex Analysis.

Since 2015, Dr. Stalla has been bringing her expertise in the fields of health and wellness to the south Chicago area. She tailors her therapies to meet the individual needs of each patient, factoring in physical, social, emotional, and spiritual aspects before providing her recommendations.

Her professional organizations include being a member of the Illinois Association of Naturopathic Physicians and Jojo Sayson's Project Michelangelo Foundation . Along with establishing her practice, she is a writer and editor of Project Michelangelo's Angel Rising Magazine and is certified in Biological Medicine.

My Philosophy

In order to best serve and get at the root

cause(s) of a person's illness, I believe it's

important to really know your story. That

is why your first office visit can last as long as 2

hours. I find that there are many contributing factors to dis-ease that may not just be physical, but also mentally and emotionally-related and it's important to be able to recognize when that comes up and to address it. I also believe

that there are layers to a person's illness and

before reaching a more complete state of health,

those layers have to be removed one at a time, so

typically, return office visits are necessasry

before you start to see shifts in your health.
